This is not Abbi Gline's best work. I read her entire Rosemary Beach series and this one pales in comparison. There was no romance, no angst, no connection absolutely nothing! It was hard for me to even want to finish the book. She spent so much time on characters who were from her other series Sea Breeze that I had no idea who she was talking about. There were just way too many characters to keep track of which didn't matter since the story line wasn't interesting. Nate was no Rush even though she desperately tried to make him like him. Sadly I don't think I will continue reading this spin off series.

FINALLY! After Abbi tortured us with a glimpse of a possible connection between Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach we have it in our hands! Like A Memory is the classic story I've come to expect from Abbi. There are some tough issues at hand, but I know that all will be resolved by the ending, and that's why I love her. Sometimes I just want to book that isn't going to drag on until the end of time, I want closure, I want smiles, and she gives it to me.

Bliss York and Nate Finlay had that perfect young summer romance and then it ended, so when they come face to face there are definitely some unresolved feelings. Nate is ENGAGED! And Bliss is trying to make a life for herself without any of the anxiety from her past. Nate reminded me so much if his dad Rush, and I love Rush with all my heart! He tries to keep his distance but fails miserably because who can stay away from the innocence of Bliss and soon they are right back where they were 7 years before.

I can never stay away from an Abbi Glines book. I am devoted to Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach and am so ecstatic to have them together, and hope for more in the future. Like A Memory is a quick, sweet, and super sexy read! There are always characters to love and also those to hate because we have to have a villain or it wouldn't be a Glines' book!
Not happy. The excerpt gave me the impression it was going to be a really interesting story. The story moved very slow. There was almost no backstory for Nate and bliss only that they were supposed to be in love. There were so many times where the author name dropped characters who had no relation to the story and did not progress the story line. The climax/real conflict in the story completely came out of no where and not in a good way. It seemed as if the author didn't know where to take the story so she just made up anything.

So this time I'm indulging in one of my guilty pleasures which is Abbli Glines and her beautiful stories.

I remember falling in love with the Rosemary beach and Sea Breeze characters the first time I read them. My favorite where Rush and Blair and this time I get to read about their beautiful son Nate.

His life has been easy so far, he's had everything he ever wanted, a loving family and amazing friends.
But we realize in this book, that being the result of an amazing love story brings a lot of pressure. He knows how much their parents love each other and he is scared to death that loving someone so much could bring his destruction.
So to be safe, he is choosing a safe relationship, no drama, no crazy feelings involved... easy.

Bliss has had a hard life, she went through something no kid should at such a young age nor ever. But that made her stronger, she knows how precious life is and she is ready to have everything she missed while sick.

She is not scared of life or love, she is just scared of not enjoying every second, because she knows what it feels like to be in the verge of losing it all.

Her memory of her summer with Nate was her happy place during her sickness but life will show her that sometimes dreams and memories are better than the reality.

Nate has no idea where she's been but he knows for sure he can't get close to her. She is everything he vowed not to have, because falling for her might mean insufferable pain in the foreseeable future.

I really connected to this book, because we have all been there, scared of opening ourselves to the possibility of love, because extreme feelings and crazy passion have the downside of coming with the possibility of unmeasurable pain and suffering.

But unfortunately if you don't risk it you may never get to experience the beauty of loving and being loved by someone.

We should never let the fear of losing someone keep us from loving them, because life will never be complete without love.

And fear is their biggest enemy.
I own so many of Abbi Glines books. I can't believe she published this book. It almost seems like this one should be her first book ever published and then I could excuse all of the grammatical errors but that's not the case. I'm only 42% in and totally annoyed with all the errors and dialogue from these characters. What a let down. I was expecting so much more. I was so looking forward to these two characters meeting and forming a relationship. It seems like she threw this story together to make a deadline or something. Very disappointed. Don't pay more than $.99 for this book. This book is grammatically challenged.
This spin off could have been so great but it just wasn't. I've followed both the Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach Series and was excited when I found out AG was doing a book on Nate and Bliss. This book felt super rushed, the characters had no depth (Nate was so annoying!) and honestly the story line was super predictable. The best part out of this whole book was the ending when Nate meets Cage.
I think from now on if I decide to read another book by AG I'll just borrow it from the library or something because it's not a good feeling feeling like you got ripped off!
